CHAPMAN v. CAROLIN Supreme Court of Victoria (Full Court) MADDEN, C.J., HOLROYD, and HODGES, JJ. 15 March 1894 Insolvency Act 1890 (No. 1102), ss. 16, 65 — Action for conversion of goods not exceeding 250l. — Jurisdiction of Supreme Court — Right of assignee to follow and seize insolvent's property in house of third person .

Sec. 16 of Act. No. 1102 does not include an action for conversion of goods, and such an action may be brought in the Supreme Court against the assignee of an insolvent estate although the value of such goods does not exceed 250l.
